The Bunny Brigade: 1993-2001 I was very involved as a volunteer with an organization called the Bunny Brigade from 1994 -2001. It raised money for local AIDS charities and provided Christmas stockings and Easter Baskets for people in AIDS hospices, as well as stockings and baskets for kids who were afffected by AIDS (most of them were actually HIV negative, but had parents that were sick) I did it partly because I knew people in the hotel business that had died, but also because I was appalled by the prejudice and ignorance surrounding AIDS, particularly in the "religious" community. It was, and still is, amazing to me how many Christians are so ignorant of the teachings of Christ. Anyway, the organization voted this year to fold. We didn't have enough volunteers to keep going, plus the whole dynamic of fundraising for AIDS has changed, at least here in Seattle. I met some great people as a bunny and had a great time. I'll miss it, but there's always something new to do. With that said, you can now go back to my web page.
