When I first moved into this house, the back yard was a mess. It was overrun by blackberries and was full of crap from the years of it being a rental house. There was no access to it from the house, and it was small and dark. Over the last three years, I've been working on it to make it nicer, and have made a lot of progress (although it's still not completed).

  This is my patio, which replaced the mossy, muddy mess that stood in for a yard. So I cemented over it. Then I put doors out from the two bedrooms. Click on the image to see what it looked like before.

  Back along the side of the house was a depressing mess that NEVER got any sun. So once again, cement came to the rescue. Click on the image to see what it looked like before.

  Then there was the side yard. Dreary, Dreary, Dreary, and looking at the house next door, (which was built onto in the 80's, rendering my living room picture window somewhat obsolete. That trellis is being planted with quick growing plants to block that BLUE house. Click on the image to see it pre-trellis.
