The Good Taste Chronicles

Stemming the tide of vulgarity in the general public.

The flowers are starting to bloom....

So it's time for a new sofa! Ladies and Gentlemen, meet Mildred (but you can call her Millie)

Isn't she beautiful? I found her languishing in the backroom at the St. Vincent de Paul, and simply had to have her. True, she is lightly floral, but you can't have everything. She makes me feel all Angie Dickenson-ish. I've been going through the Martini & Rossi Asti Spumant (on the rocks) like crazy. Say Yes!

Now I need to find a behind-the-sectional table, and a coffee table that can hold its own against her fabulousness. I'm thinking a round mosaic.....

Speaking of coffee tables, I will be travelling for the next two weeks. Flying to Chicago on Saturday to see an old hotel friend, Zephyring to CB on Easter Sunday, spending a week and a half in beautiful (?) Council Bluffs (Hello, Cole!) Zephyring to Reno for an evening, then Zephyring on into San Francisco for two nights at the Sir Francis Drake before flying home (on the new Virgin America Airlines!) on Sunday, April 6. Expect sporadic GTC, if at all.

Love your blog; love your great taste in furnishings. I have this couch in a two piece sectional - same arms, same print fabric. Weighs a ton! And in case you ever spill red wine on it: Make a paste of 20 Mule Team Borax and let sit overnight. Gone tomorrow.
